Alan
Reye is bored. At fourteen his friends meet up every Friday night at the old
railway station where they sample drink hash and ecstasy. He wants to join them
but his parents are reluctant to let him out. However the opportunity presents
itself and Alan takes it, promising himself he would never take drugs. The
outcome however is very different. On the night a friend Susan tells him to close his eyes and open his mouth. Thinking he is about to be kissed he follows instruction only to find she has placed an e-tab on his tongue. Swallow she orders and his innocence has ended.
As the weeks pass and his state of addiction grows he becomes moody with his parents and slips backwards in his school work. Even the setback of a 'bad trip' only dampens his progress from one drug to another.
